The Llŷr project represents a huge opportunity for local and regional suppliers. Construction and maintenance of the turbines has the potential to create long term employment and develop a local skill base and engineering expertise. These will be marketable across the world as the floating offshore wind industry grows to meet global demand for renewable energy.
Suppliers
While the Llŷr project is relatively new to the region, we are keen to ensure that we maximise the opportunities for the local supply chain from the outset. We will work with the local authorities, industry groupings and government organisations to deliver benefits to the locality.
In the near future, we will launch a Supply Chain Register to ensure that local and national companies have the opportunity to record their interest and be considered for provision of materials and services to the project across all phases of the development, construction and installation as well as for Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
