Cierco Energy Secures Pivotal Seabed Rights for The Llŷr Wind Projects, Igniting a New Era for Welsh Offshore Innovation

Cierco Energy has signed an Agreement for Lease with The Crown Estate, officially securing seabed rights for the innovative Llŷr Wind Projects in the Celtic Sea. This move unlocks two pioneering 100MW Test & Demonstration projects off the Pembrokeshire coast, set to power up to 200,000 homes and fast-track Wales toward its clean energy ambitions.

The Llŷr Projects will be among the UK’s first to trial next-generation offshore wind technologies at scale, creating a launchpad for gigawatt-scale developments and establishing Wales as a global leader in new technology offshore wind. The initiative is set to transform South West Wales into a powerhouse for offshore engineering and supply chain innovation, generating high-skilled jobs and anchoring the region’s status on the world energy map.
