Love the Celtic Sea

Primary school children throughout Pembrokeshire are invited to share their love of the Celtic Sea by drawing a picture of what it means to them.

Floventis has partnered with the Darwin Centre for Biology and Medicine to encourage children to think about the potential that the Celtic Sea has for offshore renewable energy. The winning picture will be used by Floventis in marketing material for Llŷr 1 and 2 with the finalists also being invited to attend a special event being held in London as part of Wales Week in London.

Tessa Blazey is Director of Policy and External Relations for Floventis. She said: “We’re building our base in Wales so it’s great to be working with the Darwin Centre on this initiative. Encouraging young children to engage with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is a great way of developing their skillsets and inspiring them to think about the wide range of future career opportunities available. We’re looking forward to seeing their creative approach to what the Celtic Sea means for them.”
